El bolero es el genero musical romántico por excelencia de toda Iberoamérica. Sus letras se caracterizan por hablar del amor y el desamor y ha sido interpretado por los más grandes artistas latinoamericanos. Una característica especial del bolero es el uso de una armonía rica, llena de acordes recargados, modulaciones complejas y giros melódicos interesantes. Aunque el centro del bolero gira en torno a la letra, este bolero instrumental para guitarra solista pretende recrear ese mundo complejo de armonías y melodías que lleva implícito tradicionalmente este género musical.

The bolero is the quintessential romantic musical genre in all of Ibero-America. Bolero’s lyrics are characterized by talking about love and heartbreak and have been performed by the greatest Latin American artists. A special feature of bolero is the use of rich harmony, full of busy chords, complex modulations and interesting melodic twists. Although the center of the bolero revolves around the lyrics, this instrumental bolero for solo guitar was made to recreate that complex world of harmonies and melodies that this musical genre traditionally implies.
